Don't know where to hike?

Lots of ideas here ...

Normal route to the refuge

Departure: Les Lanchettes (access by car or shuttle from Les Chapieux in July and August)

Difference in height : 780 m

Duration : 2h15 Grade : easy (T2).

As the trail changes are recent, and the IGN maps are not necessarily up to date, refer to the map below for the route leading to the refuge.

From les Lanchettes, walk the large trail heading north and going along the buildings. Look up, you can see the refuge ! After the footbridge, walk up to the cascades on the right. From the cascades, the trail turns left to reach the Rochers Rouges (2446m).

After the Rochers Rouges, you will have to walk a steep but short moraine. The trail will finally climb more gradually and you will easily reach the refuge where you can have a well deserved draft beer!

There are cairns and yellow signs all along the way to the refuge.
